Advantages:
- When the Union transit procedure is started, the goods do not have to be presented to customs;
- The transit declaration is submitted electronically;
- Time- and cost savings as goods do not need to be delivered to a customs control point;
- Customs inspection is carried out at location of goods, as stated in the authorisation;
- The authorisation may specify more than one authorised location for the goods.
